The group that helps organise the Friends of Park Wood, i.e. the committee, (but we feel more like a friendly group) needs some support as some attendees feel it is time to move on. CAN YOU HELP? This is another way to support the wood without getting your hands dirty!

Work Days

October Work Day

After a long Summer during which all activity in Park Wood was suspended (apart from the regular litter picking and bin emptying) we have at last been able to hold a Work Day in Park Wood.  Thank you to all those who turned up to help on Sunday 25th, despite the unsettled weather.  With a few extra rules to enable safe working and complying with the Woodland Trust's advice about social distancing, we were all glad to have the opportunity to meet up again and see what jobs could be done.

Hopefully we will be back again at the end of November to continue coppicing and begin clearing the ditches.
