For 2008 our workdays are returning to their traditional slot on the last Sunday of each month which we hope will make it easier for people to remember and book some time with us.

On St Georges Day we will be holding our AGM with a really excellent speaker Jon Stokes of the Tree Council PLEASE COME you’ll be in for a treat!

Robin Walter (our Woodland Trust Officer) will be reviewing the management plan this year if people would like to be involved in the process please contact Pete and he will arrange a workshop evening to go over the plan, which you can download off the Woodland Trust website go to our woods and then search on the woodland directory.

Work Days

October Work Day

After a long Summer during which all activity in Park Wood was suspended (apart from the regular litter picking and bin emptying) we have at last been able to hold a Work Day in Park Wood.  Thank you to all those who turned up to help on Sunday 25th, despite the unsettled weather.  With a few extra rules to enable safe working and complying with the Woodland Trust's advice about social distancing, we were all glad to have the opportunity to meet up again and see what jobs could be done.

Hopefully we will be back again at the end of November to continue coppicing and begin clearing the ditches.

3rd Party Agreement signed

Following on from the AGM the Third Party Group Agreement between the Woodland Trust and The Friends of Park Wood has now been signed. You can download a PDF of the agreement from this website under the About > Documents menu.
