Following last years successful Christmas event we are holding another one on SATURDAY 13th DECEMBER between 2 and 6 p.m.
We’ll be running several Christmas themed activities such as a Christmas trail, holly wreath and natural decorations making, robin nest box making, making Christmas badges and Christmas tree decorating. Seasonal refreshments will be available. We need volunteers to help set up from 11 a.m. onwards and to help run the activities. Last year the event was well attended with about 80 local people coming along.

If you can help please contact Pete on 023 92 389591 or Maureen on 023 92232942. We are particularly looking for people to help either with the craft activities, face painting.

If you’re not particularly crafty there will be more practical jobs to do on the day such as keeping the brazier going, refreshments and helping with the making of nest boxes and feeders as well as setting up and taking down the tables, chairs and gazebo.

Work Days

October Work Day

After a long Summer during which all activity in Park Wood was suspended (apart from the regular litter picking and bin emptying) we have at last been able to hold a Work Day in Park Wood.  Thank you to all those who turned up to help on Sunday 25th, despite the unsettled weather.  With a few extra rules to enable safe working and complying with the Woodland Trust's advice about social distancing, we were all glad to have the opportunity to meet up again and see what jobs could be done.

Hopefully we will be back again at the end of November to continue coppicing and begin clearing the ditches.
